Egads that's true. I read that caterpillars only live at most 5 weeks. Metamorphosis of a butterfly can take 2-5 weeks and the lifespan of a butterfly, depending on species, is 2 weeks to several months. All that to say, they spend a big portion of their existence in gooey liminal hell.
So how does one approach being in a liminal space for an indeterminate time. With angst? Or with curiosity about what is becoming? And perhaps a willingness (or acceptance, haha?) of bathing in the great unknown. What if developing a trust in the process is the purpose of the process? What if it’s not what you will do next but what you will be next? 💕
